I actually had the south bay location in mind. I can make it up the Alice’s pretty easy, but due to some recent injuries I think I would have a hard time making the trek out to the junction from here.

Just got back from meeting Yana and Budman at the 1Rider tent at Alices for the first time. It was a little chilly up there, so there weren't the usual numbers of riders, but it was still cool to stop and check out the display.

Yana yelled at me for not wearing my kneepads. :cry Just kidding, she just happened to notice I wasn't wearing them for this ride. I also filled out a ticket for the drawing and grabbed an emergency contact card to fill out and keep with my insurance and reg (ziploc bag in my jacket).

Thanks for spending your own time to make an impact on the riding community! It's definitely appreciated and I enjoyed meeting you both briefly today. :cool

I enjoyed the low-pressure safety message(s) and the very practical Emergency Info cards* we gave out, along with some other free swag.

*I have some extras with me, grab them at the next meet or ride.

Not a whole lot of traffic up Mines today... and we got rained on on the way back down! But it was an awesome set-up, we got to talk to some people, and the response was really positive! Pam at The Junction was more than gracious, and it was actually a lot of fun hanging out with Bap, Coffae, Beemer, Rocknova66 and FlyingHun (hope I got that last one right!). I'm really glad I was there, and I'm looking forward to the next time! :thumbup

Close, very close. :cool Nice to meet folks there today. It's a worthy, and I think effective, effort. Folks were very open, it's just that the weather kept the traffic down.

Connie, when are you going to post the photos you were taking? BTW, Bap got back shortly after you left, so it all appeared to be working out.

When I got back to Livermore I just could not call it a day. So, it was up Morgan Territory, then across to 24 to exit at Fish Ranch, ride Grizzly Peak, and hang out at the wall. What a great moto-day! :thumbup
