i put in that i'm 104 in santa clara county with covid related health risks and in a LTAC and got 17 million ahead of me... lol maybe NYT has way better modeling and forcasting than im capable of, but i'd bet thats grossly overexaggerated (17M ahead)

well the problem is that none of your tools are updated afaik because it was only friday night that pfizer got the nod... then there's also moderna...

also, the reason for the small number of doses ordered may not have to do with availability but scheduling because the vaccine can only be used for 5 days after being thawed. not sure about the super cold storage setups of hospitals, but i would imagine they don't just have LN2 fridges laying around.

All the peninsula hospitals installed freezers last month.

My product can’t support below -20 so we recommended a competitor

The tools are based on what the distributors are reporting as “available”. That’s what they have confirmed inbound.

A small economic boost that will be a challenge to meet.
Small units should not take too long but who knows if they were thinking ahead and started production.

The volume of doses they are expecting do not warrant more then a few freezers. Each vial is more then 1 dose. So 10,000 doses might only be 1,000 vials.

Stanford already has a few since they’re a research shop.

Also to note, it’s just the Pfizer vaccine that needs to be that cold. The rest can use a normal hospital freezer.

they have -70*C freezers in all the peninsula hospitals? when you say your product, do you mean you are CEO of moderna? if so, i might have to take back the bet because you didn't disclose that you had direct influence on the outcome of the bet.
