It’s like a Beatles song up in here
I think that for a large portion of his life after his accident, what kept him going was the belief that he would one day walk again.I am super impressed with people who somehow forge on after that kind of thing like Christopher Reeves
Well that escalated quickly, death, really? :laughing
The key is being content, content with your life, your home, your work ethics, yourself. No matter the circumstances, do what is right, do good, be happy. :kiss
1 Timothy 6:6-12 But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses
I know you only have good intentions, but do you know what people think when people quote scripture at them?
It's not positive.
Ah babe, that is not my intention to speak it to you. I only wanted to remind you For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. You are smart, you are bold and you are stronger than you think, take those qualities and ROCK this life
Scripture sings to my soul, maybe it will sing to another's but it is not my intention to preach at anyone.

The fact that you mention The Beatles tells me you're an old soul Uncle Bp ...
ME TOO! Only liked two and that is iffy :laughing The Doors are a really good band to listen when you feel down. You can't be down singing a Doors song :loveI never liked the Beatles. Maybe two songs tops and I couldn’t even say which songs that would be but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that they might have two good ones.
:love Love you too, we got to work on that atheist bit though :laughing :kiss I think you see the positive in life, dance in the rain :loveI am agnostic / atheist (yes I am conflicted :laughing) and when I read quoted scripture I try to read it for what it is worth and come away with a positive impression.
The scripture quoted above was no exception
I’ve found that paraphrasing scripture leads to more reader acceptance as most all of it is universal truths packaged for the particular region from which it originates
Thank you all for the continued sharing of personally successful strategies in seeing the positive :thumbup I love you all!!

It doesn’t matter that we bring nothing in and take nothing out. It only matters what we do living that period in between.
