Game of Thrones Season 8

Bran is the real villain. He knew what was going to happen the whole time. Instead of warning everyone, he let certain actions play out in order to become King. Might have manipulated things in his favor. Power hungry Bran the Broken, was his plan all along.

Eh whatever. I guess that explains why Bran was so useless. He was at best biding his time and at worst orchestrating everything.

Jon gets to go be the new Craster and start it all over.

So weak. I was hoping Dani would enslave and kill everyone. Americans always need everything tied up with a pretty bow on a top of it, show creators are spineless wimps for giving them that.

Somewhere there’s a real life Arya reciting names of GoT Season 8 writers, and I’m OK with that.

GRRM gave them the ending and has said they arrive at the same place.

GRRM's last book was called "A time for wolves" before changing the name. That should give you a strong hint that the Starks will fair alright. Outside of support characters, expect something similar. The journey might be a bit different and naturally the books don't have the limitation of time, budget, aging characters, contracts, etc.

Overall, what really let me down this season was the rush to an ending. I loved GoT for the depth in its dialogue and character development. D&D should have passed the torch if they were burned out. My favorite episode this season was EP 2 which was the closest to what I enjoyed the most about GoT.

LOL he stabs the queen and grey worm is ok with letting Jon of the hook by sending him to the wall (why are nights watch needed anymore?) where he originally came from. Meanwhile, he watches his only love get beheaded and goes bananas killing everyone in sight.

Does anyone know if the Dothraki went with the Unsullied or did they stay behind to pillage and rape everyone? They have no more khalseesi so I imagine there's another power vacuum right there. Also does anyone know who those two lords were? (one sitting next to Edmure Tully and the other one sitting next to the Dorne prince.)

dothraki are apparently going to roam the 6 kingdoms without a story line lol.

Not only all that, but did you see them just walking past Jon as he was being escorted to his ship? just like "oh, you killed our Khaleesi...no bigs".

build up characters and story arcs for 7 seasons, only to let them fall straight off a cliff. Most characters weren't even acting like themselves (completely different attitudes, dialogue, actions). It's like we were watching a completely different show. Disappointing and rushed.

lol yes Bronn of the Blackwater, who threatened to kill the Hand if he didn't give him Highgarden...not only gets Highgarden (!) but is also named master of coin!! What a brilliant strategy for the fledgling republic to keep a guy of his morality around.

For a guy like me, who disdained the whole joint, then finally got hooked in despite reservations, there is a sort of irony of having the lame ending. And it was fairly lame.

Arya goes off to the unknown west, like Bilbo and Frodo. The sort-of autistic guy becomes king. You NEVER make oracles into leaders. Right. The whole Targaryen thing for Jon goes unreported or irrelevant whatever and its back up to the snow (I couldn't remember but didn't he have a fling with a red-haired wildling or something?). The dragon doesn't come back to him or something. I guess he's just out eatin goats....

Despite ridding the whole place of the mad cutie who torched the place, he is a prisoner instead of a hero. That in itself was nuts. He's exiled for doing the right thing. The only person who cared was that worm guy.

What-ever.

And PS. Who even saw him kill her? Or her get flown away? Did we miss a five minute confession scene?

I'm there with you. Up until this season never watched the episodes as they came out. In fact I don't think I even watched most of seasons 1/2, and if I did, wasn't paying attention. Never got into the show when most around me were raving; really only started because fiancee got dragged in.

So I didn't have the story appreciation, character knowledge, etc that most did. And even I was able to pick out the plot holes in this final season.. it just didn't make sense.
