It’s finally here!

Not the most action packed episode but still a good setup for the rest of the season.

Is it true there are only 6 episodes? And I thought they were supposed to be longer than 1 hour each?

I was fine with the 1st episode.

The pretty thing and I might wait until all of them are shown, and then binge the entire season.
Going to be tough to avoid spoilers the whole time though.

Magic carpet got a hell of an upgrade in the live-action Aladdin adaptation.

Anyone else sitting there going "this is a scene-for-scene sex-swapping clone of 'A whole new world'..."?

I've never watched a minute of this series from any season but there's enough hype around it that maybe I should check out season one.

Yes you should. If you like the Lord of the Rings movies in the slightest bit, you’ll be just fine wasting a few weeks of time binge watching to catch up.

If you've ever remotely enjoyed anything in the fantasy / medieval realm, you'll enjoy Game of Thrones.

Same. I figured it was either going to be a lot of setup for what’s to come or a surprise of at least 2-3 developed characters checking out.

That last scene at the end though where he sees the result of his failed murder? To quote Pauly D...

We've been balancing binge-watching GoT with Breaking Bad. :teeth

I figure the battle scenes will play out for episodes 2-4. 5 & 6 is going to resolve who's going to be the true / king or queen in the end. I have a feeling there's going to be alot of betrayals and deaths to come.

Check out season 5, 6 or 7. Seasons 1-3 are pretty slow moving, and rightly so.

Watch it however you want to, but I binge watched seasons 5 and 6, then 7, then I went backwards to season 1, cuz I cared about the characters by then. I have tried watching it from the beginning but it was too slow for me (all character development.

It's graphic in every way, but the main characters are very complex, which is nice. I hafta to admit, my favorite characters aren't in any of the houses. The Hound, Sir Gregor, Brienne of Tarth.

I might wait and binge watch all of season 8 as well. Watching it in real time sucks ass.

Fuck that. Start at season 1 and grind through. Character development is there for a reason - to make you care about the characters before your entire perception of them is flipped, stomped, ground up, and spat back at you (if they even survive).

I found out about the show around the end of season 2 / beginning of season 3 I think. I went out and read all the books before watching a single episode, then caught up from season 1 episode 1 onward. No regrets.
