Two motorcyclist fatalities on Highway 113 Saturday

I don't see how her posting a picture giving the finger makes her a horrible person. She made a mistake, I highly doubt there was malintent on her mind when she made the turn.

RIP to the riders and wishing their families the best.

But, IF she was negligent........

Assuming that's the right profile page, well, again if I had caused two deaths (even if not my fault), I wouldn't be posting on FB, and certainly not her 3-hour old weed pic.

But, if.

No one knows anything at this point, it's all conjecture. And before we go vilify someone, we should probably have some modicum of proof.

True, I agree with you, and very much detest the internet lynch mobs that develop. That is why I hesitated in posting her page. Point taken.

I will say, very few people intend to kill others comma even if they behave negligently and carelessly. Whoever the driver is, lack of intent doesn't excuse anything for me.

But was she cited? Who was determined to be at fault?
It takes weeks or even months before that is determined. And if CHP recommends a criminal charge, it can be years before that's all sorted out.

RIP Jamaal and Malinda :rose

From the Vacaville School District, one of the downed riders. I have a huge respect for teachers, it is not easy work.

Today VUSD mourns the loss of Malinda Averell-Kalis, better known to students at Browns Valley Elementary as Miss Mindy. She was killed in a tragic car accident this weekend. We send our thoughts and condolences to Miss Mindy's friends and family. She will be missed by students and staff alike.

One carless moment and boom it's all gone. This time there was a two for...
I'm certain it was no one's intent to go out and kill two people that day, but one fatal instant of inattention, of carelessness, cost the ultimate price of the unfortunates that just happened to be there.

A huge loss all the way down the line.

Ugh, that makes what, four riders killed this week alone by left turning vehicles? Not by something they are doing, not by riding like asshats, but because of inattentive drivers making their left turn too quickly to really look for oncoming traffic.

I wish they would leave those "Check twice for motorcyclists" lit signs up for more than a week - whenever those go up, I notice more attention paid by drivers. It's subtle, but noticeable, at least on the freeway.

RIP riders, condolences to their families and friends :(
