I read about this, but couldn't find more info. Thanks for link, and ugh...I'm from Davis, close to home.

Poorly worded journalism again.

It seems that they both had their right of way taken by the Charger, and not that they were hit by another car.

RIP, Riders.

Much better report now from the Fairfield Daily Republic:

DIXON — Authorities report that a Vacaville woman turned in front of a pair of motorcyclists early Saturday night on Highway 113 at Hay Road, causing a crash that left two riders dead.

The Solano County Coroner’s Office on Sunday identified the motorcyclists as Jamaal Abron, 29, of Fairfield, and Malinda Averell-Kalis, 45, of Vacaville.

Both motorcyclists were driving south on Highway 113 shortly before 6:50 p.m., approaching Hay Road, when Shatora Watley, 36, of Vacaville, tried to turn left from northbound Highway 113 onto westbound Hay Road – across the path of the oncoming motorcyclists, the California Highway Patrol reports.

Been on that part of 113 a hundred times, it's surprisingly dangerous for a straight stretch of road. There's at least one dip out there that's low enough to completely block visibility and it would be really easy to be closer than your braking distance without seeing another vehicle. It's compounded with speeding and when people transition slowly. I don't know if that dip plays a role here though.

Come on guys... You aren't even sure it's the driver's profile.

Lives in Fairfield, and as Byke said, unique name. But true, can't be 100% sure (this person posted some goofy pics this morning; I would not be doing so a few days after causing two deaths).
