I got a 39T and 44T JT sprocket from lytleracing/fleabay dealer (came to 62 bucks for both shipped). I tried the 44T ... w00t, awesome @ the riders up Tunitas and Kings Mountain.

I havent put on the 39T yet so dunno if i will have slack issues with the chain.

kerosene to clean chain and PJ1 to lube

Ohh - i got a vapor comp, zeta levers, supermoto fender ... and back & forth deciding to get the 18/21 wheel setup :dunno

Mike - u sliently organizing these mud rides? I am just cruising alone :( anything up recently?

hmmm.. i havent heard anything about the plate pulling :wtf
but id be PISSED if they pulled my plate!

This was a HUGE issue years ago. Husky paid a big fine too.. Any pre-'06 bikes had their plates pulled in CA.

That is why i'm surprised you still have yours. Did you buy it used, or did you have it from new?

Several barfers had their plates pulled as well.

Crazy! i had no idea. i bought it used back in fall and had no problems going through the DMV

I am due for the 600 mile service, but already did an oil change with silkolene, filter, o-rings, etc. at 300 miles. Plan to handle further maintenance DIY unless it is major.

Any reason I need to take it in to the dealer for the frame bolt tightening and what not? Or can I do that myself.

No reason to have the 600 mile service performed at the dealer. Nut, bolt, check chain, cables, etc. With any thumper, doing occasional nut and bolt checks is a good habit to get into.

Yes, the torque specs for all bolts (at least all the important ones) are in the service manual.

check thumpertalk.com on how to ship it to Eddie ("Burned"). There is a how-to which describes how to ship easily. Eddie is very popular amongst the DRZ crowd all over the country and well know for his work. You will not be displeased.

Else, buy the big bore kit, and hot cams and get our local favourite Shawn ("elskipador") to do the job for you. His rates are decent and work is top-notch.

We've got 2 DRZ's in at the moment, both for top ends. Are you having any running issues or is it just maintenance you need?
