Reserving spots at race weekends

I think this is a "problem" everywhere.

I have people I like to pit near for a variety of reasons, and yes, I have saved, and had them save, spots for our "crew." Some of this is safety - people who have your back, and your stuff, and will keep an eye out if something should go wrong, etc.

Some of it is convenience, and some of it is just camaraderie. Granted, if your crew/group is growing a bit excessive, then it may be time to reevaluate and considering splitting up into a couple groups, but if you're one of many who are coming to the races all by yourself, having others you group with can be more than just being selfish.

As for the power at THill, there could be a few solutions, such as renting out (marked) RV spots and/or more power boxes in general....or a fee for plugging in to power (have fun babysitting that) which would encourage people who have gennies to find alternatives....

Is there a difference in the example below with entire party present or not yet arrived?

Taco analogy is flawed, :x

Why would your entire party wait at the pickup counter when seats are open?

Ever go to a innout, 50%+ tables are family members waiting on the person who ordered the food.

Imo this is way of life, plan ahead or be da sacrificial lamb :laughing

itd be funny if someone was waiting for hours at In-N-Out for their family to arrive and eat with them.

its common for restaurants to not seat a party until everyone has arrived. tables are limited and theres a time constraint, so it makes sense. IMO, this is more comparable.

Totally agree. Both in life and in racing, there is a lot to be said for experience.

Jesus. Have we met? My God daughter says I am the most childish human being she has met. My friends say I am a total curmudgeon of amazing depth.

Important Advisory | AFM Round 7 | Thunderhill Raceway

Please be advised we just received the following notice from Thunderhill Raceway:

"We have a huge event for prostate cancer going on this Friday. There will not be paddock access until Friday evening at 6:00pm. It would also be helpful if people didn’t start lining up until 5:00pm."

Thank you.
