Guess no one other than me has ever had a card get damaged and yet still had to pay for something. Would be nice having a backup without that backup being another $100 a year card. Not old school enough to carry cash.

You literally posted this in a thread about a broken phone. :rofl

KHAAAAAN!
well apple iphone users certainly can't figure that shit out, I have hundreds of 640x480 images sent from amazing iphone users who cannot use anything else on the internet aside from I-Message.

couple that with the 240dpi videos sent over (oh remember when it didn't exist, only for apple users?) MMS

even today, I got one SMS from a guy and then the next message was over Slack. Why? "I can't send the image over the text, so I used Slack". :facepalm

End user problems.

Slack is shit.

Can’t recall having more than one broken phone in 20 years. But people drop and lose them, both phones and CC’s. Perhaps to you that sort of unreliability make depending on a phone too risky.
If that wasn’t your point than guess I missed it, whatever.

to clarify:
iPhone purposefully sends images in extremely decreased quality (we're talking a 19K image.. from a modern camera :rolleyes) ... over the chat/Text/MMS ... when it's not to an i-PhoneMessage user. And I've receive a bunch of those..

iPhone purposefully also sends videos in extremely bad quality too . I've received a few of those too.. and gave up telling the user if she wants to send me a better quality

So he used slack from his phone, to better send me the image.. for one reason or another

I haven't had 1 cc in such a long time it's really a non issue

Bruv needs to sort his Credit Score is all.

The idea of paying to have a Credit Card is insane to me. Like, I have been sent card offers with an annual fee, but GTFO. Even if the cash back potential is way more, I just find the idea so offensive. :laughing

But I am old school and do believe in carrying cash.

Haven’t carried cash since I sold stuff on CL last spring. Not once in 2020 did I withdraw cash from an ATM or bank teller and probably not more than once or twice in 2019.
When I used to use cash I found it harder to track spending. I’d often think I lost a $20 or just couldn’t recall why there was less money in my wallet than what I thought I should have.

I fly a lot and carry two CC’s. One for a backup in case there’s a magnetic strip or some such failure with my main card.

Fair enough.

Software issues seems to want to help with bandwidth and speed of which to send images.

Slack is still shit.

I meant I have a bunch, not 1 lol
I think I have 8, only one of which has a fee.

You need an intervention. And stop crying

Your tracking maps must be richly populated and well documented.

Even when I pay for stuff with a card, I try very hard to never tip on a card always in cash, even the uber guy to the airport gets a cash tip when he unloads my luggage. People who work tippable jobs seem to appreciate it.

Numbers game.

Tips given via card have a paper trail and must be reported as income. Back in the day I was required to report 8% of the bill for tax purposes, but a tip more than that on a CC still gets reported... Giving less than that would have literally cost me money.

Paying w/ card and leaving a cash tip of more than 8% was the "best" way to hook up a server

That’s what I used to do but kinda got away from it. I simply don’t have cash on me anymore and not gonna hunt down an ATM everytime I go out to eat, which now in covid world doesn’t happen anymore.
