iPhone X Delivery Dates

So I ordered my iPhone X at 6:50am this morning. My expected delivery date is 12/6/17.

What is everyone else's expected delivery dates? I guess they are supposed to start shipping on 11/3. :dunno

Supposedly our account manager (business account) is going to pull two for myself and the boss, out of the stock he has to sell on 11/3.

Rookies. You want one on release day? You need to buy it from the Apple Store app on your phone, the instant it becomes online on preorder day. I got mine in a little before 12:15am today. I’ll have mine on the 3rd.

Was told earlier this week that most of the global air freight capacity is being sucked up by the iphone. Yeah if its in the air and being shipped it probably an iphone. Crazy.

I loaded up years ago and sold then bought back in again before the split. Barely into 6 figures with it but would have been a lot more had I listened to my gut and not sold during the crash.
A guy I worked with bought a shitload back when the ipod came out. He was still holding it 4 years ago when I last saw him.

Was just reading that apparently, the iPhone X sold out for US day one delivery in 17 minutes. No wonder AAPL almost beat its all time high today.

I was very tempted to put in an order for the X. Verizon's site was active at 11:54pm. I was just about to pull the trigger, then I realized that I wouldn't be happy with myself for dropping $1k on a 64GB iPhone. : |

My 6S is fine for now, although iOS 11 has really screwed up my battery life. Hopefully 11.1 fixes it.

I got a bunch of AAPL in the early 2000s at $25ish. I sold it after the first split when it was around $600/share. Nice little payout when the stock was a token gift from my parents.

I've recently switched to Android, via Google's Pixel and now Pixel 2. Happy with the phone(s). I'd consider going back to iOS, but the X doesn't do it for me. Maybe another iteration.

yes, and I don't like that direction at all. $1k phones with a ginormous screen with little to no bezel, glass back...no thanks. A screen replacement for the X is $279. Any other repair...$549. The $200 AppleCare+ is a must have it seems for the X.

I've never bought AppleCare with any of my iPhones. The X would be the one to buy it.

$999 for 64GB iPhone X (whether you pay upfront or in zero interest installments)
$199 for AppleCare (because of the possible replacement glass costs, this really is a must IMO)
$85 sales tax
$1,283 total

And then...say...

$39 for a case
$59 for a wireless charging pad
and/or
$49 for a fast USB-C Charger

So that's another $88-98 with another $8 in sales tax.

$1,380-1,390 for doing right (IMO) with an 64GB iPhone X...fuck that noise. :x

Forgo AppleCare, then you are at $1,180.
No fast USB-C charger (shame on Apple for not including it), $1,131.
Go naked...$1,092...but who are we kidding. Most everyone will get a case.
Wireless charging pad...I'd say you should get one because what's the point of having a smartphone with wireless charging and not utilize it.

So yeah, you could just get the X for about $1,084. Or, again, do what I think it is right and be spending 13" rMPB w/o touchbar monies by spending nearly $1,400.:wtf

This shouldn't be the new normal, but it's going to be moving forward.

I'm an Apple homer and I usually find ways to justify my Apple purchases (Late-2008 Macbook, Mid-2014 Macbook Pro, Mid-2011 21" iMac, two iPad Airs, two iPad Mini 2's, iPhone 6, 6S, and AppleTV), but I simply cannot justify at this time, getting an iPhone X to replace my 6S. : |
