Canceled. Fairgrounds closed until further notice. end of pavement un-rally, June 20-23, 2020.

I'm in if things don't go sideways. If it's during the week USAL beach is a good time as well.

:thumbup

this sounds like Cedarville may be ready to see us in late June:

Modoc County — one of California's most desolate jurisdictions with no known coronavirus cases — says it will allow bars, restaurants and churches to reopen Friday (05/01/2020) despite Gov. Gavin Newsom's statewide lockdown.

“We’re not in this at all to defy anything. We align with the plans. We’re just at a different phase in this because of where we are and how we live,” Heather Hadwick, deputy director of the county's Office of Emergency Services, told POLITICO on Thursday.

Modoc officials submitted a plan last week to Newsom outlining their proposal to lift the statewide lockdown order, but the governor has given no indication he intends to free individual counties from his statewide restrictions.

The county issued a strategic reopening plan this week that would allow bars, restaurants, churches and non-essential businesses to reopen indoor operations with proper social distancing — all banned under Newsom's current restrictions.

I like that Aaron Lewis song. :thumbup

This one's a little different, but once we can do it... I'm taken my time on my ride!
Maybe I been thinking too much?

That is cool... I think the Sheriff is being smart.

They could be smarter by limiting people from the outside the area to come in and visit their restaurants or bars... etc.

I think if I was riding thru there I would respect that and get food to go and not eat inside. Knowing that there are zero cases I think it is safe to get a sammich and a soda and find a spot to sit and eat.

I don't feel that same confidence here. I would love to go to the La Honda Market and get a sammich and a soda, but with the Rona I think I would be playing head games on washing hands, discarding paper and wiping off the soda can with wipes etc.. all the stupid (smart) stuff necessary to try to avoid giving or receiving.

two wheel tramp

exploring!
^ Budman, we'll definitely be careful. I will probably contact the Country Hearth and see if they want do do some breakfast burritos for us and get folks to pre-order. They are a little slow, anyway, when we crowd their shop so they would probably appreciate us for doing that.

We may also get a local charity org to do a BBQ for us to raise some money. The director of public works for Modoc has been in touch with me regarding the rally. We want to make sure that, IF we go, we are a benefit for the folks in Cedarville and Alturas.

That was interesting to look at. :thumbup

Good to see them be proactive and great to see their status.

Modoc responded to big brother rather well. I did not know tracing was a requirement. Plus they’ve taken care of their 5 homeless. I like Cedarville and the State of Jefferson!:twofinger

fascinating stuff ... reading Stage 3 in early June, and we could argue we’re a sporting event without spectators ... :laughing

all going to be up to the fairgrounds giving a thumbup.
Don’t think they can do it under Stage 2, but maybe when we get to Stage 3 in Modoc, I guess. :party

read somewhere the fairgrounds in Cedarville might be under state control, which didn’t make sense to me ... sure two wheel tramp has it under control. :afm199

The two Xs are known as the "Double Cross" and signify the two regions' "sense of abandonment" by the central state governments, in both Southern Oregon and Northern California.
