Generally speaking sites not using SSL have been basically vilified by browsers and A/V types softwares now. This is why your stuff is now advising against visiting BARF.

We have elected to pivot on current projects and deploy SSL for BARF as soon as possible.

With dealing with "as built" conditions, we're having to go so far as to make supporting infrastructure adjustments to accommodate. Of course, our primary goal is to always ensure that anything we do minimizes or avoids downtime. So its a step by step process of research and deploy right now.

TLDR: We're working on it now.

:thumbup sweet! Can’t wait to see the new and unflagged BARF soon! This will definitely make a huge improvement in reducing the annoyances of trying to browse BARF! Plus of course helping improve security even just a little.

Chiming in here because you guys are the ones that are looking at it.

SSL has been implemented. Your warnings should be gone and have a cute little padlock now.

Good timing too, because Google Chrome is coming out in a couple of weeks, and it's storied to be particularly harsh on non-https sites.

However, Firefox here is blocking some things like ads because they are not encrypted. Do a "View Page Source" and look for occurrences of "http:".
