My name is Michael and I ride a KTM Adventure EGS-E Rally

I'm looking :nerd for other Adventure Riders :hail in the Bay Area who know where to go :ride and would like to meet and go ride together. Could be an weekend excursion...or simply a day trips...(preferably OFF ROAD), or even a good curvy road run somewhere :thumbup

I'm willing to help organize :deadhorse some socials :bbq so we can all get to know each other ort and (more importantly) plan some kickass trips!

Lets use this BAARF :bigbarf thread as a place to help organize these trips!

Baja n00bs Adventure: 11/20/09 - 11/30/09. So far it's just Sasquatch and I that's going. I'm open to having others join in, provided we get along with them since Sasquatch and I are rather ornery folk... :laughing

I think separate threads would work better for posting rides/events. Those 10,000 page threads at advrider make it difficult to follow.

The ornery the better...makes life interesting!

I would like to plan a get together. We could have a potluck (everybody brings a dish of food and a 6pack) at my place (if everyone is potty trained!). I have an apartment in the city, it's kinda small but it would handle up to 10 people.

My buddy Dave is down for the trip...he hasn't signed up to BARF yet but he will soon. He rides a KTM Adventure as well...

So tell us more Alan...

What does n00bs stand for?

ADVTRIP - (date of trip)

Alan...maybe you could start that one for the one you just mentioned with the trip date 11/20/09 - 11/30/09?

Thank you. While they're nice places to go for a day ride, there's nothing "adventureous" about them. You can link a thousand miles of dirt roads and trail in California. Look in the Mendocino NF, the Sierra NF, El Dorado NF, and others. You can search through the "best of barf" or the "sport touring" forum (used to be where adventure riding was too) and get some good tales.
