I would be happy to see Sonoma off the schedule. How about a round at Buttonwillow in the counter clockwise direction. Or a different socal track?

Why? Besides the bumps (which are expected to be fixed if we go there), Sonoma is a great track.

Unless it's a matter of layout preference, etc, in which case, as a racer, you just have to deal with it.

Agree. It's been my least favorite track tho and yet, I go the best there. Weirdness.

For 2020 it's dead, but is on the docket for us to move back to the May date if we can get it from Sonoma. Much better date.

remember when BW was called Bumpywillow? its the same story as tracks age, get bumpy, and lose grip. Sonoma will be amazing if/when it's repaved. its just sad that things have to get so bad before some tracks take care of it.

Pretty frustrating. I get it, it costs money, but losing dates due to bad track conditions doesn't make them any money either...

Totally. It's pay now or pay more later. And in America, it seems like they prefer the latter ethos because it maximizes profit. This goes for city streets, schools, and race tracks alike. You'd be hard-pressed to find a bump on Magny-Cours or the roads you take to get there. But I digress. Very sad about Sonoma. At least May is in play. Go get it, Berto. :ride

For a Spring date or for the September date that was TBD?

Spring date in 2021 is the hope. Still haven't killed Sonoma for 2020, formally...although the board was in favor or Thill for 2020. We'll know for sure after the AFM meeting tomorrow night.

AFM site says next meeting is next week, not tomorrow, was it changed? Was thinking of attending and maybe bring some fart bombs in the case Sonoma was booted off :laughing
