The BARF family delivers. Hoho brought so much love to the community, and you guys return it in spades (or whatever).

We are all so lucky to have each other. Thank you Hoho for making me appreciate that.

So I just discovered today that Hoho was my uncle. I called my grandmother on Saturday night to wish her Happy Mother's Day. We have a quick conversation and she manages to lecture me about riding my motorcycle. Tells me her nephew just died. A name I've never heard before, for some reason he was not close to our side of the family. This afternoon I paid her a visit and she showed me some recent pictures and I immediately recognized a few familiar faces, faces of people from BARF that I've met and some that I haven't. I'm not a very active member of this forum, and don't really attend social events, but I've met a few of you. My family told me how people kept coming to visit Horace in the hospital during his final days and were amazed at the amount of love and support he had. It warms my heart to know that he was such a beloved member of this community. My family showed me pictures of him in the hospital and he looked so happy (given his predicament) thanks to the support from the wonderful people of this community. I only wish I had met him earlier and got to know him, he sounds like a remarkable guy.

The Hoho picture with the phone leaning on the beer glass got me.

Me too ... wish I could've been there

My condolences to HoHo's family, I know that they were everything to him.

There's a saying; " never mistake kindness for weakness" and it makes me think of HoHo... that guy seemed like he was soft like ice cream but in reality was always tough as nails.

I'm going to miss your strength HoHo .. :( :rose

Hoho - this world isn't the same without you here. RIP.

Anyone know when the memorial service/celebration of life is?

HoHo was such a great guy, he was the kind of person that would light up the room and get everyone laughing. Fuck cancer, he'll seriously be missed. It's so thoughtful that the rally is renamed to honor him.

man... that is a bummer because Hoho would have provided you with love and smiles. And.. support when family members say moto's are bad. ( I know that well). He lived them and he lived love.

He is on my mind almost constantly. :(

My thoughts exactly. :thumbup

I'm having Hoho flashbacks, I need to write up all these stories. My heart is heavy today and I imagine will be for quite some time.

I just clicked on new posts to catch up after a weekend away from the interwebz and this popped up. It was kind of a shock to see the thread. I never met Hoho in person but you see peoples posts and you kind of get an idea of who they are from those. I always enjoyed his posts and it seemed to be one of the OGs here. I am sad to hear of his passing and his battle with cancer.

Hopefully, he is riding his favorite bike in heaven on some awesome twistys.

I've been in shock since I heard the news. I didn't know you well HoHo. I wish I could have known you better. Thanks for the support you gave me during some difficult times in my life.

That picture of him with the Hot Fudge Sundae and the photo of the phone with the beer float will stay in my mind for a long time. I will be buying some ice cream for the first time in 5 years on Wednesday and pigging out in his honor. Miss you sweet, loving man.

Your family is pretty amazing. Seeing the love and grace exemplified in their welcoming us into this very difficult time speaks volumes about who they are, and it also makes it easier to understand how Hoho became such a remarkable person - he came from a great family.

This sums it up nicely. Hoho showed amazing strength right to the end. Maybe when you're that strong there is no need to "prove" anything, and you can feel free to share your love with the world. Hoho did that for sure. :rose
