I know what most of you sick bastids would do. ;)

All my gothy candelabras and stuff would finally have a home. I'm thinking it'd end up looking like something between a victorian bordello and a torture chamber. :teeth

Awesome. If nothing else, cool storage for foods and drink. What I couldn't discern from photo essay was whether it can be accessed from other rooms and buildings, which would bring up security and proprietary issues.

A cousin of mine bought a Mafia-built house in San Jose. It has a very weird floorplan and full, musty basement. Nothing like that in web but man does he have storage space.

I'd need to buy servers and hire a sysadmin to handle the traffic and set up the subscription services....

Looks like that was the boiler room for building heat at one time. Some of the brick work is falling down scary. Also everytime the cable guy wants to do anything they will need to access thru his closet :laughing

I was trying to figure out that one pipe in one of the pics. Whether it was sewer or not. That could be a buzzkill, too. The "curious shaped thing" might have been a mount for the boiler itself but its a bit small...

Probably part of an old storage area. I suppose it could have been a crypt or a holding area for prisoners, maybe even a defensive space. I'm not really up to speed on everything that monasteries did back in the day. I'm guessing that no windows = not legal living space = built over. Would be fun to know more about the history of the place.

That is a cool find! What plans do you have for renovating? besides the obvious chains and whips of course...
