Got directed here from sportbikes.net
I am a female rider that is addicted to sportbike speed. My biggest pet peeve is when guys realize I'm a chic and I'm faster than they are. Why do you guys do that? Leaves me and my husband with no one to play with;) Plenty of people wanted to ride with us when I was first learning how to ride and was REALLY slow. I finally figured it out and started passing them. They quit coming around.
Anyway, I'm glad I'm here and will probably see many of you around this summer.
My bike history: started on a new '97 gsxr600, graduated to a gsxr1000 (very sweet bike!!!) then some idiot stopped in front of me on the highway and totalled my 1000. Didn't have the money to buy a new one, so my husband rebuilt his old '97 gsxr750 for me. Hope to get another new bike in a few years.

VH, You and your husband shouldn't have that problem with this group or the LaBusas group that I've ridden with. I look forward to riding with you guys.

Trackdays are another good place to get your kicks without the testostorone drama.

Thanks guys! I'm not saying I'm faster than anyone here, but I like to go fast and have fun. Glad you guys are ok with a "fast" chic!
And NO I am not faster than my husband. He kicks ass every where he goes. I try to keep up, but he has no fear! I try to learn from him. I hope to some day just keep up with him.

Welcome:twofinger and you sure do sound fast. But what does this mean?: "My biggest pet peeve is when guys realize I'm a chic and I'm faster than they are. Why do you guys do that?" Do what? When they find out you are a chick, you go faster than before? As is the case often, I am confused.

I don't go faster when they find out, they just don't want to ride with me anymore. Guess it's too much for their ego to be beat by a girl. So when we call for a small group ride the guys that can't handle it are conveniently busy every time we call, when before (when they were faster than me) they were always available. All I can figure is male ego. I just want us all to have fun and I didn't like people having to wait up for me, so I kept trying to get faster and finally did. I just want us all to ride together and have fun.
I hope this explains things for you.

Being passed by a female rider doesn't bother me. I think I'd rather ride behind a female. = X :D
