So does anyone here have the WP Xplor forks? What do you think of them? Strengths? Weaknesses?
What did you change? What would you recommend?

I've read all kinds of stuff elsewhere on the web,.looking for Barfer's opinions.

Thanks.

I dont have them but I rode a 2018 TE300 with stock forks at Georgetown a few weeks back. I'm 195lbs and I thought they were super plush, felt excellent. Soaked up the bumps, but it was slow/medium speed stuff.

I have a 2017 KTM 500 EXC. My first ride I thought they were super plush, awesome for single track. However I noticed the blew through the travel on whoops and jumps. So I re-sprung for my weight and it was better. Then I went to the Mojave desert and bottomed on every whoop or jump I hit, eventually causing a fork seal to blow. I'm considering sending my suspension to Kreft so I can get more range out of my adjusters. My buddy did it on his Husky 450 and loves it. So if you like slower rocky, rooty, single track, it's good. Not so good on the fast stuff.

That is the problem. We ride so much different terrain. What is good in the desert at 70MPH is not good on slow rocky stuff like Moab and visa versa. I just ordered stiffer springs for my 525 for Baja. It will be equipped with a 6.6 gallon tank and a 25 pound bag out back. I hope it is still acceptable on single track. Talk to a suspension Tech and tell him exactly what you want. Hopefully you can get it.
