Three pairs of gloves
I have three pairs of gloves that I just don't wear anymore. Take one set or all three - I don't care, so long as they go to good use.
They are:
- Street & Steel leather shorty
- Firstgear mesh textile gauntlet
- AGV Sport leather/kevlar gauntlet
The first two were used as range gloves when I was an MSF RiderCoach, so they saw very light duty.
The S&S gloves have rubber knuckle "armor" under the leather and a velcro strap on the underside of the wrist. The fingers have very mild perforation on the underside.
The Firstgear gloves are great for summer because they breathe really well. The leather is a type of suede and there's a thin pad over the meat of the palm, along with hard-rubber "armor" and light padding over the knuckles. There's also some padding over the finger joints.
The AGV Sport gloves were among my favorites and saw a lot of miles. I went down in them once (thanks to CalTrans and their penchant for pea gravel), hence the spot on the left palm. My hand was completely unscathed, which is a testament to the Kevlar under the leather. There's no hard armor, but there's foam armor over the back of hand, along the fingers and around the wrists. There are two opposing closures, both under the wrists. I think these gloves have a lot of miles left in them.
I live in Benicia and work in Fairfield. Come and get 'em, or PayPal shipping money and I'll send them with USPS flat rate (about $7).
