It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

    • Comments within a sale thread should be on topic and educational. Aggressive critiques and inside jokes will not be tolerated. OK - a couple contributions!

1. Grill - Works Great, wife wanted a nicer looking one in our backyard (Does not include propane tank though)

2. Jones New York Suit - Size 42 Regular Jacket with 33 waist, 32 inseam pant. Good condition, I paid like $200 for it. Would work for someone's kid or something trying to get a few first interviews. It was the first suit I had about 8 years ago. I never really wore it after. No holes or smells or anything.

3. I also have two other suits that are the same size you can have if you want them. They were expensive, from Franco Uomo in the mall. About $500 each. They are real nice, good condition, maybe worn a dozen times each. Same thing, size 42 Regular Jacket with 33 waist, 32 inseam pant. One is black and one is black with copper pin stripes about 1cm apart.

I fit into a 44R, the back could be wider though. I don't stand a chance in this 42R do I? I could use something for a custody battle coming up.

A black Suit, vest, and pants from Express. This is a size 38, and 32/34 waste pants. I am 5' 10" slim build and it fits me fine, but long in the arms. I was going to donate it to St. Vincent's, but I've got an oval wood coffee table, in a dark cherry color, a Queen Anne style with the cabriolet legs. It's the same style as the picture below, but it's not all chewed up like the one in the picture. I'd take a picture of it, but it's outside in the truck.
I bought it second hand for about $75. I'm in Livermore, but if you're not too far away, I can deliver or meet you half way. I would just like it gone by this coming weekend if possible... trying to clear out clutter for 2014! :)

Wow, I'd love to have a Helimot suit. I won't be in the area until the 24th though and I'm sure it'll be gone by then. If you're willing to hold it for me I'd seriously appreciate it :)

I might as well offer up an ugly old Teknic 1 piece I have, 46/56. Should be a bit bigger than the one above. I've lost weight and fit in a 44/54 much better now.





It's been down, but has been repaired and is in reasonable shape. Probably not good enough for posing at *$. Doesn't stink.
