Dion is a good dude. I'm sure he just unplugged and is enjoying life.

You guys are a bunch of whining botches! :p

BARF has been a part of my riding life for a good chunk now... it's brought me closer to some very AWESOME people. Hooligans. And man... have I got caught up in it! Posting everyday, PM's, even being a mod! It was taking up a large chunk of my time and energy and it was almost like work. And just like work, I would eventually have a head butt contest with a few others.

I took a step back and looked at my "motolife", and looked at how much time I was spending on BARF and how it was affecting my personal well-being. I mean, it sounds stupid, but I would get kinda stressed out at the things people were saying, the negativity, the busting on people for wearing jeans, the flames (some I was the subject of in certain forums), the arguments over SNELL vs. DOT vs. CE approved (to the point of ban warnings), to the deaths and pictures of the dead. I started to look at this forum as a representation of a large chunk of society - and I realized how miserable people are. This doesn't go without saying there are wonderful people in the world (you know who you are), but I have a hard time comprehending why anybody would focus any amount of energy on being negative. It's just not on BARF, but on bicycle forums that I was frequenting, too.

I mean, somebody posts a picture of them and their friends on a ride (good times), all of them wearing jeans and tennis shoes. About three posts down, some jerk has to post "nice jeans and tennis shoes... hardy-har-har... tsk tsk...". I mean, what is the point of that? Does it truly affect YOUR life that strangers are wearing jeans and tennis shoes? Or are you so miserable in your life that you have to make that stupid comment to feel better about your miserable life? It's very sad.

There was a time that I spent so much time on BARF, I would look out onto the moto world with a different set of eyes, not always positive. I began being judgmental, influenced by the majority of the sentiments posted here. Squids, Harley Riders, Bling-Bling riders... I was being judgmental and it wasn't cool with me. I had to re-think the way I looked at these guys and gals and figure, "Hell... it's all good... ride on, folks!" Look at my older posts, and many were very negative. I didn't like that at all, and it was unnecessary.

I have this theory called the "turned-down-mouth" theory. Do ever catch an old person and see that their mouth is "turned-down" like in a frown? Those people have been so miserable their entire life, that they physically have a mouth turned down into a frown! Anyway...

I also have been working A LOT. I'm in my 30's, getting married, trying to do well. My job in sales and personal visits require me to be sharp and focused, and I have to eliminated the distractions. And again, negativity is just bad energy I don't need when I go out on the field.

I've reduced my forum activity ON ALL forums. In fact, I don't have any forums under my "Favorites" anymore, except for Global-Flat.com and Jockey Journal. There isn't a whole lot of "p0wn'ers" in these forums, and that's what I like. I barley post in those, anyway.

Lastly, I had an altercation with the person who bought my CR125R. This guy was a fuckin' retard (Hi "P"! I know you're probably reading this, you fucking psycho! :wave). He was stalking me on BARF and copying my posts. When I went to court, he had a stack of paper all printed from this forum. It made me realize how posting on a public forum puts you at risk for many things. I've shared many a personal things on BARF, and I forget that this is public, and people, like the pig I went to court against, can try and use it against you. Everything eventually turned out okay, but I learned a serious lesson in maintaining privacy. BTW, his evidence against me was claiming I was "An expert in motorcycle maintenance and reviews on one of the largest motorcycle forums in the world" :rofl

Interesting how things can get twisted?

In closing, I've changed up SMHooligans.com and created TwoWheelLife.com (not to be confused with 2wheellife.com). This is a lifestyle site, focusing not only on SuperMoto, but other things like BMX (I'm taking up flatland again!), dirt riding and low-art (like tattoo art). Communication is via a blog, and I encourage people to post and comment to announce rides, events, BMX stuff, sales/promos, trackdays, etc. If you have something you'd like to announce, hit me up at dion@twowheellife.com and tell me and I'll post it in the blog. Pics from previous events (only a couple) are encouraged to submit as well.

I'd like to get another BMX street jam set-up soon, too!

I'm loving the DRZ and my CRF250X is a champ. Cafe Racer is done... and well, is a constant "mechanic's special". Let's ride, folks. Hit me up on the "News" section of www.twowheellife.com. I miss you guys as well, and you know that the SM and Dirt Sections are always the most positive places on BARF (visit the Racers Corner lately, jeeeeeez...), and it's the people, you guys, that make them that way. Seriously, though... we all have to get riding again together. I'll be in Hollister the week of 4th of July. I'll post it on twowheellife.com, so post a comment if you can be there. We'll hit up the "new" trails (the single tracks RULE!).

I love you guys (in a gay way)! :party

Peace and butt-grease,
Dion

dude, if you didn't do such fucking long posts it wouldn't take ups so much time...

Hollister July 4? Dirt? The new area is pretty sweet.

You can't quit us, Dion.

Say, there's an shirt embroidery shop near me. I'm going to drop by and ask how much to embroider a bunch of T-shirts. If the price is right, maybe we can get another group buy of BARF SuperMoto shirts going.

Last I heard he got married and they're expecting twins. I think they moved to something-Mountain, NV. About 1 hour or so north of Reno.

"I won a contest and now have a lifetime supply of Astroglide!!! Needless to say I've been busy."
