Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

Yo, Barfers,

I've decided on getting a Ninja 250 as a starter bike (very starter) and I'm just done with the MSF course, so I'd love to get on one ASAP so I can start practice on my (nonexistent) skills.

I am VERY short on cash right now, and will borrow some, so I'm begging for something below $2000. I don't care about year or mileage. As long as I can ride it, I'm happy.

I don't mess around, if you've got something I can afford (cheap please) I'll take it off your hands.

I have one, it's an 03, 8k miles.

The good, up graded suspension(springs,zx6r shock). Recent valve adjustment/service oil/plugs,filter,etc.

The bad(or good depending on how you look at it) is that the previous owner removed the fairing(I mean crashed it)... The rest is in good shape, no dents, minor wear marks...

I bought this thing for my girl friend to ride... until she decided she didn't like it... or me either...

I really like the thing but since I already have a GSXR750,XR500FT,XR100,CH80 and a BW50 I really can't justify it.

You can PM me or the previous owner(Meterman here on BARF)...

It's going on CL tomrrow for $1800.

I've debated on keeping my ex500 or selling it. It's a 99 with approximately 15K miles. If you're interested i can have my brother show you the bike, because on friday i leave for 8 months. looking for around $1900. It's still insured and tagged till April 08.

It's been dropped at about 5 due to my lack of warming it up, and hit once in a parking lot, which makes the throttle sticky. Right clipon is bent, and fairing is cracked. But overall, great bike. 2nd owner, CLEAN title. Unfortunately it's also in Sacramento, so if you're interested, and can send me a PM tonight, I'll have my brother show it to you.

I know it's a better bike (more power), but I'm too much of a wuss to start out on a 500, I think. I've been talked into trying a lighter bike first, and getting used to that before moving onto a bigger one.

Hey,

I have a 2004 Kawasaki EX250 with around 6,000 miles that I'm contemplating selling.

I'm willing to part with it for $1000.

It's a bit crunchy, but runs fine - I've been riding it like this for over a year without issue. It was knocked over while parked (someone backed into it). Then, I had a minor crash, resulting in rash to the left side of the bike, cracked upper fairing, and dented tank.

Sounds bad...looks ugly...but runs fine.

I'm located in the Inner Richmond District of San Francisco, CA if you're interested!
