Chaz's results have been good once he got the bike working the way he wants and he did his job to keep Rea behind him and send the championship battle to Estoril. Chaz is also looking good for third in the championship and Ducati is just 26 points back of Kawasaki in the manufacturers championship which is a big deal for Ducati.
Rinaldi is not being held back by the GoEleven team and could probably use another learning year there. They get tons of support from Ducati. Redding has been vocal about keeping Davies because he wants development done for tall riders and fears that won't happen if Rinaldi gets promoted.
For Yamaha, I'd keep Gerloff on the Junior team at the very least. I'd probably wait to see what happens with Ducati to see about signing Davies and if there is a domino effect should Chaz leave Ducati. Yamaha is in the enviable position of offering a good bike and having several riders to choose from. Don't know whats going to happen.
Anyway, glad to see the championship go down the last round - and that round not be Qatar. Its so anti-climactic to have a championship battle wrap up at that place. No one has data for Estoril which probably works in Rea's favor since his team can adapt that bike to anywhere and because Johnny Rea is Johnny Rea.
