Hoping the Yamahas will be stronger here, also
Cavalieri to replace Melandri on the Barni Ducati,
Debise to replace Cortese on the Pedercini Kawasaki, and
Folger to wildcard with his IDM German superbike team

Shit, I didn't know about Debise. Glad he's getting the opportunity.

Yeah that is cool.

Voting for the “I am changing my style and dragging my elbow” Rea.

Go Garrett!! :flag

Toprak will dominate only at T1 and T10. Ducati will dominate T12-T1. Rea will dominate T1-T11.

Rea will win so I'll vote Rinaldi again.

Gerloff had a very good Friday. Third in FP1 behind Razgatioglu and van der Mark, and ahead of Bautista (4th) and Rea (5th).

FP2 was wet to damp. Gerloff was sixth quickest with some very fast sector times.

Possibility of rain all weekend.

Great Race 1!

Well done Gerloff ! Beating Lowes for a rookie is no small deal ! MotoAmerica prepared him well for SBK.

Chaz Davies making the show as usual chewing others one by one.

Finally caught up with SBK after MotoGP and MA.

Yeah Gerloff!

Nice to see JR wearing the Ana Carasco t shirt

Wild to see Bautista rub his front tire on Rinaldi's rear tire, that usually doesn't work so well!

Yeah with all the racing on today I was not very productive at work. :laughing

Gerloff. Fuck yeah. Great showing.

The T Shirt deal was cool. He showed that shit off!
The Honda look good. Rinaldi could not get that super soft to work today. Man he slid back.

Rea.... what can ya say. The dude is awesome :hail

Hopefully Beaubier will want to get out of his comfort zone and head to World SBK. He is already very familiar with the R1.

He seems to be more about quality of life and he likes what he has.

If offered a Factory Yamaha he might do it. On a satelitte bike he is not going anywhere.

Gerloff felt different and has shown that US riders can be competitive now. That is cool. Hope he gets his shot with the top tier R1 next year.

The SuperPole race was good. Bautista's highside was as brutal as anything from the 500cc 2-stroke GP era. Tough dude to be ready to race in the afternoon. Too bad about the bike letting him down. Still, good news to see the Honda working so well.

Couldn't be happier for Gerloff. The kid rode his ass off. Those long full-power. dirt track slides through that one right hander were :cool All of Race 2 was good and I was glad to see Chaz get the win. Hard to imagine what it would have been like with a healthy Bautista and Toprak in the mix.

Fun weekend. Love watching the Superbikes at Catalunya. They seem perfectly suited for this track. Would love to see Barcelona on the calendar next year and find a way to get over there to watch. There are rumors about Beaubier and one of the Yamaha WSBK rides. Out of five Yamaha seats, only Toprak is signed for next year. I'd be surprised if Gerloff isn't offered a deal to stay in WSBK next year.

Magny Cours is next. Toprak Territory.

Be awesome to have Cam and Garrett on the same factory SB team.

:flag

Will Cam give up the change to be the all time winninget rider in the US Superbike class?? :dunno

Not sure he can do it, but if he continues to dominate like this year he could.
