Just a reminder that American MotoAmerica Junior Cup and AFT Singles racer Dallas Daniels will be racing the SSP300 class this weekend in Qatar with support from Yamaha U.S.

Thanks for the thread Map! :thumbup

And.....Go Dallas!!! Hope he has fun and success.

I do hope Marco has a good race and enjoy it. A top 5 would be nice.

I am hoping for the Rea/Bautista battle from hell.

Motorcycle racing at night is so beautiful. I do love it.

Other notes:

- WSBK schedule at Losail is different than past years. They start practice on Thursday and race on Friday and Saturday.

- As noted in the first post, Lowes, van der Mark and Razgatlioglu are separated by just six points as they contend for third place in the championship. There is probably some decent bonus money on the line for two Yamaha riders and maybe some for Toprak along with pride so expect plenty of action from them across all three races.

- Randy Krummencher has just an eight point advantage over Federico Caricasulo in the race for the World Supersport championship. There is enormous tension on the Bardahl Brothers team and the two riders really don't like each other. Lucas Mahias and Jules Cluzel go well at this track so expect a real brawl in the WSS race.

After Thursday practice, Dallas Daniels is inside the cutoff to qualify for the race (which could change as times drop) but a long way off the pace. He's on a decent team so equipment shouldn't be an issue but one never knows.

Chaz Davies had fast time for the day. As usual the track is dirty on the first day of a race weekend. Davies even crashed on the second lap of FP1. Times are expected to drop tomorrow.

Jules Cluzel was quickest by .7 margin in WSS practice over Caricasulo while title leader Krummenacher is 5th just over .8 off the fast time.

Not as fast as I look.

Yeah, I always love this about the desert venue. The Princes can build an F1-MotoGP track and afford to hold virtual private F1 and MotoGP races, but they can't buy a couple of sweepers and a couple of blowers to keep the track clean. Riiiiiiiiiiight. :bs

Losail run anti-clockwise would be a fair treat ...

Race 1 was pretty good.

Chaz's bolt through the field showed he is coming to terms with the Duc. Lowes kept Rea honest for most of the race.

Bautista did well to.

The battle for the Championship podium spot on the line now.

Congrats to Kawasaki on the Manufacturer's Championship win. The three rider parade was kind of cool.

Race 2 was great until Rea got some breathing room in those last few laps. Still plenty of action from second through eighth right to the flag. Krummenacher put together a good race and stayed out of trouble to collect the WSS championship.

Still have to watch the SSP300 race.

Dallas Daniels had a terrible weekend in SSP300. Last and well off the pace in all sessions and last place for the entire race. He was on a Yamaha in a class dominated by Kawasakis but one of his teammates finished 8th and that guy has been on the podium a few times this year. I don't know if there is some reason Daniels struggled so much or if he just isn't in the same league as the World Championship racers.
