Tired of lane splitting and commuting on your bike?
New to the area and just wanna meet other riders?
Binned recently and just wanna hang out?
Wanna learn how to work on your own bike, save money or just like to get dirty?
New to motorcycles and riding?
Spring is almost upon us, so let's get our bikes in tip top shape, whether you ride street or track, newbie or kneedragger.
If you need to change your oil, or clean and lube the chain OR you want to put grip warmers on, even upgrade your rearsets, just post up, I know how to do most basic maintenance and simple electrical stuff.
1 week forewarning, so enough time for you all to order parts or ruminate what you wanna do. I do live 7 minutes from the Hayward cyclegear and 3 minutes from EB motorsports if you do not anticipate your need for supplies, we can hop over there to one of the brick and mortar stores.
I have my own pneumatic tire changer and digital balancer. I will be changing tires Sunday, for $5. recycling fee and PG&E. If you ride a supersport I have brand new sets of tires (that I thought I would use), that I should sell. Q3+, Q3 and S21s.
PLEASE let me know or post in the thread if you are coming for a tire change. Last we had quite a few, and it'd be nice to know, so I can actually change all the tires needed! dual sports with inner tubes welcome. 19 inch is the mucho grande my table can handle. But I can change inner tube tires bigger than 19 inches by hand. Also, if you want to drop ship the tires to my house, so you don't have to wear it like a doughnut, I'm cool with that.
Where: My house - San Leandro, Near the Chervon gas station on foothill blvd and 164th ave. PM me for my address.
When: Sunday, February 16, 2020 10:30am!!!!!!!
What: If you need: tire change - on or off the bike, any fluids (coolant, brake, clutch if you don't have a slipper, engine oil), clean/lube chain, adjust chain slack, chain and sprocket swap, change the rearsets, new levers or new MC, change the battery, wire a charger for your smart phone or GPS, even taking the forks off (to get new seals and/or fork oil changed), or just change your grips (or change to angled valve stems), quickshifter, or a power commander... I can help you with any of that.
Blinker fluid free - No charge. LED blinker fluid is expensive though.
Brake Fluid: (either Motul 600 or ATE 200/super blue $3 donation). If I open a new bottle, it takes about 6 bikes to use up the bottle, which I prefer, so PLEASE even if your brake fluid is a little dark, come and get some fresh motul 600. You are doing me a favor by helping to use up the bottle, so please it only takes 10 minutes to do a back and front brake fluid change. Don't be shy.
No need to bring tools or stands, I gots them, more than one rear stand so you don't have to call dibs too. AND a kind riding buddy has loaned me a single swing arm rear stand, so bring it on.
If your bike is in tip top shape and you just wanna hang out, eat and ride, watchers welcome.
Lunch: TBD. Many good choices, Top Thai, Rock 'n Roll Sushi, Ramen 101, and there is my favorite pho restaurant. We can row sham bow for it.
Ride: When the bikes are finished, and after lunch, usually after 1:30pm, we'll discuss route options, local east bay, alice's, just depends on the group and the skill set.
If you have other maintenance needs, like wanting to add a battery tender pigtail or charger for your phone, post up or PM me.
Come out to play Sunday.
