I test drove a Sparrow around the Corbin factory, Hollister.
Too wide most of the time, I don't think cages will move over like they do now. Expect a lot of grief, verbal, gestures, and maybe even cops called.
Those things are dangerous as hell. And I'd say the same of any other three wheeled vehicle. They're very unstable when cornering.
I used to work with a guy who commuted daily in his Corbin Sparrow. Certainly it's way too wide to split. And it was/is obviously unstable. One day, in the back parking lot, he turned a bit too fast (way slower than he would have on the street making an emergency maneuver) and it tipped up on two wheels. He quickly tried to recover and it slammed down on all three and then tipped the other way, this time going completely over. We helped him right the thing and get out as he was now trapped. And bleeding. He ended up with a bad gash on his forehead (stitches required) and other cuts and bruises on his body. And all that at parking lot speed.
Ah...thanks.
Answer: No.....but I see a Harley trike forcing his way through a gap that isn't there on Hwy 37 with some degree of frequency.
Not much surprises me anymore.
Ah ha that's exactly what I was thinking it was an Elio but it wasn't.
That's pretty nice for 15K you can get a Zero and it can do 100 miles, you can get a BMW C Evolution Scooter also. So it's like which one would you prefer a moto, scooter, or 3 wheel car. Would make a good commuter if your in the range. Another alternative is an electric smart car if you want 4 wheels but that starts at $24k. But can it really go 100 miles is the question? It's a safe bet if you had a Zero S or DS with the largest battery pack you can do 100+ miles. The C Evolution you would have to really hypermile it, my Empulse could probably make 100 if I hypermile it also, but that's no fun.
