Mission:

The Women's March is a national movement to unify and empower everyone who stands for human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all. We stand together in solidarity for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families -- recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.

-----------

My wife and daughter are going again. San Jose.

My anecdotal story: Last year was pretty cool IMO for us. There were people in the crowd actively making people feel included. My daughter made a sign (Love not Hate makes America Great), and smiled from ear to ear when some of the crowd activists went up to her, looked at her sign, then got everyone in the vicinity to chant it out loud. I know it was not an original slogan, but it was clear that the reason they started the chant at that particular time and place is because they wanted to recognize her and make her feel good. You should have seen her smile...

Anyways, cheers to those going in peace and support. I hope you get the feeling of inclusiveness and love that my daughter was able to get.

Title is not: "Womens: March in March in 2018"
It is "Women's March 2018"
Maybe a better title would have helped, haha

Does that include gun rights?

You want a march in support of 2a organize it yourself.

That's just silly Coco. Think about what you just said. This movement is drawing a spotlight on women's issue. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say women are assaulted more then men. Don't they have the right to carry and protect themselves? Is this not an issue that women should talk about?

I hear what you are saying. on the other hand, shouldn't women choose which subject they would like to talk about for themselves? Telling women what they should be focusing on is not appropriate in my opinion.

So you think that the women marching should have included in their theme, gun rights?

Wow.

It is actually women's rights issue according to Mrs. and her sister. Being able to carry a concealed weapon is the only real equalizer for them against single or multiple attackers; all the martial arts training means nothing against people who are typically larger and stronger.

(They have both been annoyed that obtaining CCW is almost impossible. I just checked with both of them and both, who are women, believe it is an issue that disproportionately affects women. Thus, it is a women's rights issue.)
