Check Kelly Blue book, NADA, CycleTrader, Ebay, Craigslist (even though some people on Craigslist are asking non-realistically high prices and will never be able to sell the bike at their asking price), and know what the current market value of a similar bike is before considering a purchase. Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

    • Comments within a sale thread should be on topic and educational. Aggressive critiques and inside jokes will not be tolerated. Don't fuck it up, because the next step is disabling the "reply" feature entirely.
    • If you disagree with a price, keep it to yourself. The seller has set the price. If you don't like it, don't buy it and move on. If you really feel strongly about it, then PM the seller.

I'm putting the sexy beast up for sale I don't want to but the dentist wants to get paid.

$4000 Clear Ca. Title with current reg.

This is a fine bike but has a couple of issues. It's been down a couple of times from previous owners I don't know the exact extent of it just guessing from the evidence left behind.

The damage- the right fairing has the tabs at the top broke off you can see by the pic that there is a zip-tie stitch in it. I had been watching ebay for another fairing and haven't found one yet. There will be one come along soon. The other is the slave cylinder has a poor repair to it. I just haven't got around to it cause it's just cosmetic.

Other than that it's a fantastic bike looks great and has lot's o power. :)

Only trades are dental work and 08 and up gsxr 600 wheels and cash.

It's a great bike I hate to see it go, although at this price I didn't expect to still have it.

It's had all the maintenance done recently, all fresh fluids, new stainless brake lines, fresh tires and chain and new wheel bearings.

It doesn't have the wave rotor on the rear anymore it has a fresh stocker on it.

I'm going through a peridontal descaling(sp) and my next appt. is tomorrow. FKers getting me for over $1000 to scrape on my teeth, just fuking rediculus.

Sexy bike, my buddy used to have one of these with the TRE mod and no packing the Yosh carbon cans. It sounded like the end of the world when he pulled up. :teeth

If all you need is a deep cleaning you can get it or free! When my girl was in school last year, they worked on patients for free. Included full X-rays, evaluation and complete deep cleaning. I posted a thread a while back with all the info. Just a heads up before you go and drop 1g

Make some offers.

I thought 32 was freaking cheap. This is a fantastic bike I'm a motorcycle mechanic so everything is fresh and up to date.

I need to sell it by today or I'm going to keep it. It would be nice to see it go to someone that could ride, I would hate for this thing to end up in a salvage yard. That's why I just listed it here.


As a bonus you get a top notch moto mechanic out of the deal.

I almost bought one of these a few months back, they make a great sound, especially with aftermarket pipes.

I'd consider getting this but I have 5 bikes at the moment and 2 of them are Suzukis :(

Damn didn't even get an offer. Ok changing the add I'm going to keep it. Thanks for looking.

BtW I would of went down to $2200 yesterday somebody could of got a great deal. I'll keep it listed if anybody want's it for $4000 but really don't want to get rid of it now.
