Festival started last weekend. I had about an hour to check out the progress on some the murals last night. Going back this weekend to see the finished works and spend much of the day looking around.

Here's a taste.

This is on a run down section of J Street between 7th and 8th streets.

Stunning 15 story mural by Shepard Fairey on the east side of the Residence Inn. Best viewed from 16th & L Street. Go up in one of the parking garages if you can. Can't wait to see this one finished.

My lame iPhone pic taken into the sun. Bringing my DSLR and going back in the morning this weekend to get better light.

I should include a link to the map of projects/artists which can be found HERE.

I'm hoping to go to the MotoBayClassic on Saturday so I'll probably spend Sunday morning checking out the mural festival. A bicycle is a great way to get around and see the art. Sacramento has Jump bike (electric assist bicycles) if you don't have or want to bring a bike with you. Midtown Sac has many restaurants, coffee shops and bars for taking a break.

I don't know, what do you look like?

/sorry - a year late but I just couldn't help myself...

:facepalm

I look more like an old James Taylor, we have the same hair.

Thanks for the pics, Steve, can't wait to see that Johnny Cash mural when it's finished.

I wanted to go this year but the pandemic prevented me. I have been actually really looking forward to this 2020 because it was the year I would have started working as a member of a company that sets up stages and organizes shows. I have always been a fan of music and I always wanted to kind of learn how the backstage worked so it was something I have been really interested in and looking forward to. I did manage to do a few shows at the beginning of the year (fro January to the middle of March) and it was super amazing. The company that I worked for has been amazing. They are very professional and very technically sound (there has never been a glitch during the shows). If you guys want you can check their homepage here: outdoorstages.co.uk I really hope that the pandemic will end soon so that I will be able to return to my work. I really miss the sensation of the crowd and the energy of a music festival. I hope that you guys are staying safe and soon all the festivals will be back on track.
