Who is working from home or not working due to the pandemic?

We literally may have rioting in the streets if it goes on that long. My crazy ass little brother in Lake County, which just started SIP today, already has a group of like minded rural nutters who are already talking about armed resistance if the SIP is enforced on them while trying to work.

Yeah, I don't know how this is all going to pan out. Without cooperation this isn't going to work. We will see death one way or another.

I do not think this will lead to the collapse of society, but it's got to have the potential to be the closest thing to it in our lifetime, so far. Any less than 8 weeks and I don't see it as being sufficient enough to flatten the curve enough to make a difference. I guess we will see.

Also, when isn't Lake County plotting to take guns to the government?

Today is my last day working from home. Furloughed for sixty days. For now they expect us back before that, but I'm not hopeful. The bottom as dropped out of the entertainment / corporate events industry. I don't see it coming back anytime soon if this coronavirus gets worse.

I agree with some here that after 8 weeks we could see some rioting especially if we have food shortages.

If we have martial law there could be all sorts of problems with predatory individuals or groups since the army can't be everywhere at the same time..

Are we not supposed to ride during this time? I know that my mc is calling me and calling to me loudly!

The problem with riding is crashing.

Take a covid strained emergency system and add more bodies to it. What could go wrong :laughing

Why discuss food shortages when our Governor last night said that all food shipping lines are open and operational. People might riot out of fear.
I worked yesterday and will return today. I am conducting my assessments and evals via telephone. I spoke with a dude who was dying at home from alcoholism and he asked if we can talk daily because he is so lonely. Broke my heart.

The pretty thing runs a catering business, and they're dead in the water right now.
Even when they lift the orders, no one is going to want to immediately have a party full of people.

Right now makes me really wish I had gotten into reloading. But on the other hand, I do have enough ammo on hand to take over a small third world country so there is that......

I work from home full time and after many many years, I wish there was an office close by I could go work in for a bit.......

I told my girls that if we can't buy food they are going to have to learn to like fish because we can get that out of our pond all day long.

Sure, but normally it is tweaker nonsense, because government isn't super interested in meddling with them.

If Lake County was a State...

Shops in SF are already being boarded up out of fear of looters / rioting. Restaurant in my old neighborhood was vandalized a few nights ago.

It is not just fear. Too many people who have ZERO income if they do not hustle. People with minimal to no savings. Most of my favorite Bars and Clubs have GoFundMe running right now to help the staff.

Low income hourly workers are getting destroyed by this shut down. If they are forced to endure to the point of failure, they will fight.

Riddle me this.
I'm of the uneducated opinion that we'll drop the SIP and allow the virus to spread before we allow looting or rioting to get out hand. We are affecting 100% of the population to protect roughly 15% of the population from a 10% chance of death.

I agree with you. That's what most likely will happen.

Process machine maintenance manager here.

Entire plant is shut down except for me. Empty. Hollow. Echoing. No one at all. I'm in isolation at my physical place of work. And actually getting projects checked off the assignment board.

I'm living in an introverts fantasy.
