Actually I got my bike fixed and we are going to buy a new fridge.....thats our Xmas. Its pretty much just another day around my house, no family, no kids, no decorations. I live a simple life.

If we need anything, we buy it throughout the year, so there really isn't anything to do around Xmas for us.

The wife and I are actually talking about going on a cruise next year for the 2 weeks over Xmas/new year. Beaches, boobies and beer.........boycott xmas all together.

Anyone else get off easy and not have to deal with all the holiday crap ?

We don't do decorations or big presents either. Just another day except I get a home cooked dinner for a change. :chuci

I wrenched on the bike (briefly). Then I went upstairs, took a nice hot shower and a long-ass nap. :p

Did my holiday thing with my family visiting during Thanksgiving. Husband and I are caretakers for a farm and vinyard, and so we are doing projects on the property. Might get away for a short ride tomorrow if we feel up to it. I'mm cooking a lovely supper tomorrow, and that is it. I have not been feeling very well this last week, so low key and quiet works for me.

Is it summer yet?
I normally do a big Christmas but this year nothing. Spent today goofin around, tomorrow my brother will come over for some spaghetti, and that's about it. No tree this year, didn't decorate, did some presents but no cards. Been an awesome Christmas so far.

Early morning hike, spend the day watching the LOTR trilogy (extended version) and eating caramel apples, then Christmas pizza for dinner and will probably watch Love Actually (my wife likes it and it kinda has a Christmas theme). Went on the holiday ride yesterday. Christmas is just a day off for me....thank you Christians for bringing the entire nation to a complete stop for your delusions, I appreciate the time off.

That's funny, every Christmas break I spend a day watching the entire extended edition of lotr. And yay for Christians! :thumbup

hmm... i was at the gfs family this weekend. now im hosting a small gathering of family here... the grandparents, and my siblings. The best part is, the grandparents bring all the food already cooked, and it ends up in my fridge as left overs!

^ Wot she said! :banana

I had a very good reminder that Christmas is many different things, given many different situations. I stopped by work last night with some snacks for the people working, and to see my former co-supervisor, who I always miss because he's on graveyards again. I had heard that his wife had a surgical procedure last week, but had no idea what they were really going through. In the space of a week, a mass was found growing on/in her brain and they were scrambling back and forth from Fairfield area to Stanford for tests and to have it removed. She came through it fine and seems to be recovering well. My buddy told me he was sorry, he hadn't had time to do anything for Christmas...I told him, all that sounded like Christmas, to me. That his wife was home and healthy again. :)

I made a traditional puertorican xmas dinner. Pasteles, pernil, alcapurrias, arroz con gandules.

tonight I am gonna make a ham and a turkey breast, with same fixings (that's what you get when you buy veggies in bulk at costco :laughing)

Today all I have done so far is take some pics of Ozzy Cat :laughing
