Who are the 250 terrors?

OaklandF4i

Darwin's exception
So who these ninja 250 terrors and do they ever step on to an AFM race track with their bikes?

If so, looking for some feedback on the class.

If you want to start racing thats where I would start. The main reason it's cheaper than on a big bike( tires mainly) and if you haven't done much on trackdays or ridden a big bike hard on a regular basis. If you haven't done a track day, you should. If you are free next sunday ride down to thunderhill and watch us have some fun.

The ring leader of the 250 terrors is 250gp racer, we need to all chip in and buy him a track day for his 18th birthday. I did thunderhill on my wifes ninja last october, it was fun. I might take it to laguna seca in march for another trackday. It depends how the hawk does at thunderhill this week end. I can't have all those in-line fours beating up on my twin.

Smack! Pow! Bam!

OaklandF4i is actually a very competent rider, just not when trying to keep up with old-school back-in-the-day Honda Hurricanes... or so I've heard! :twofinger

Actually, he's been rallying a fair number of riders (some on this board) to do the AFM thing this season. We're all holding out because we're a bunch of losers who don't want to safety-wire our bikes up and be called squids up at Alice's. :D

Actualy, I have the application for a 2002 lic. for afm. I had planned on doing a few races this year. The problem with that is it's not my bike. My wife likes her bike just the way it is. Best I can do with it is track days. I told her that a track day is not a race day so I don't go as fast.:D :D If she only knew.

I wont tell

Well, I wont tell your wife if the track day just happens to be at the same track, same day (wierd) as an AFM race. I dont know where those track workers came from, nor was I responsible for the impromptu race that broke out. Oh.. that would be my story.

I really want to get back into some competition, just not sure I want to do it on my F4i as I ride it to work everyday. So... I have been looking for something on the cheap to get onto the track. 250R seems to be the best bet, next the 500 or FZR400, though it looks like prep and the parts war start to heat up in the latter classes.

Stevo

As for that old school CBR, I backed off as he was inside on blind corners. Then I crashed on my own. Think I got hung up on the peg with my weight on it. Bike made a nice slide with out me for 40-50 ft though..... :D I do give him a lot credit as his bike had to have been very light on some of those fast sweepers. I know I puckered!
