soooo, my husband's 40th birthday is coming up and i'm planning on getting him something big (it's a surprise so :shhh - he's NEVER on barf so i'm not worried about him seeing this). i'm going to get him a trailer and want to have it painted to match his r6 (black with red flames). anyone know a good place who could do that for me? i did do a search first and found a reference to cyclefinish in menlo park and just left them a message to see if they would even do this kind of work. but other than that, i'm out of good places to try, preferably in the east bay (fremont)...

any referrals would be greatly appreciated!

if bobby over at cycle finish (his work is awesome) doesn't work out, you might try dave at california cycles in san jose, (I know his work, it's really good, and he'll do cars, or buggys, or whatever you can roll in there)

I don't personally know of any painters in the east bay (except carlos over at lucky seven in antioch, but he'll be the most expensive of any painter, ANYWHERE) that could pull off a tricky match like that: they have to match not only the shade of black (metallic sparkles?), but also the red, and if thats a red candy it'll be very difficult to match, also they have to match the STYLE of the flames to have it look like the bike, or at least get close.

I am not set up for something that large, but I know both cycle finish, and california cycles can handle that type of work (wether they can do it by the deadline will be the question)

good luck

You probably will only be able to get the color close but I'd definitely powder coat the trailer. It'll be a lot more durable...
