When Stockton gets resurfaced.

I'm very happy to hear there are plans to resurface the track. What will be required of the bikes when the track is resurfaced?

I've got plastic on my Derbi Aftermarket rear sets. Will I need to get Axel Sliders? Anyone know where to get those for a Derbi GPR?

What size are the Derbi axle bolts? I know some sweet JDM applications for the NSR and ZB that are made for 12mm bolts.

These are the ones im about to order up for the ZB.

Well you will have a little problem getting them to fit with the way the front axel works. Only one side has a nut. We are required to run sliders on the handle bars and pegs and that keeps the derbi GPR's from scraping up the track.

It is not official yet but there is a good chance only the motards will require axle sliders.

Like Pierce mentioned, bar ends and pegs are what do damage to the track on most of the sport bikes.

There is a good chance that folding pegs and bar ends will be all that is needed for bikes like the NSR. The only thing I have done to my stock NSR, as of yet, is to make sure I have new plastic bar ends and spares. I also removed the kickstand and cut off the tab from the frame that the kickstand mounts to, right at the weld.

I am also going to make sure I smooth out the underside of the pegs. After I cut them shorter, the edges became rather sharp so I am going to clean them up on the bench grinder.

I hope this is enough for the NSR. I like the axle sliders Brad posted up. If needed I will be taking a closer look at those.

From what Matt has mentioned, Axle Sliders only apply to motards.

I highly recommend Delron type bar-ends. Imo, and from my experience, the alum type will do more damage to clip-ons, and possibly to the track.

Fwiw, I have rounded my shortened "foldable" foot pegs ;)

Ill have mine is 4-6 weeks if you want to check them out. For me they are really more for protecting the bike then anything.
