i was browsing youtube for wheelie vids and came across this. looks pretty promising and it's priced just right for people who are scared to loop their bikes. anyone tried or heard of wheelieteach.com ?

meh.
Get a $1000 stunt bike with a 50 tooth rear sprocket and a crash cage. It'll teach you more than just how to wheelie.

+100 Either that or just take your time learning how to wheelie...Why spend the money on a wheelie teach...

two things to ponder before proceeeding. Wheelies are addicting! once you get good at it you will be on the back wheel all the time. Secondly the penalty for getting caught is pretty high these days.

can't do it on private property, either. it's one of those violations that the popo can get ya for in a parking lot. :thumbdown
a lot less likely, but still possible. go to an abandoned neighborhood, or a business park on the weekends. if you're practicing somewhere relatively "safe", you should be good to go. it's when you're rippin block-long wheelies down main street that you get the attention.

I ride my 'Berg all the time around the industrial park around Heald College in Concord, the Concord PD (and Chippies) will park, watch and occasionally comment via loudspeaker, on your form. The large truck lot in Benicia off Industrial is also ok as far as the police. Remember, ATGATT and bring a friend in case things go south, there's someone there to assist.

Wheelie High! :thumbup

PS. stock up on bandaids and fork seals! :twofinger

Isn't it it funny how one can do that all day long in the dirt without a problem, but the moment you do it on pavement it's a 'failure to control' one's vehicle? :p

Is there no freedumb left in 'Murica! So, if I own a huge piece of property, pave the whole thing, fence it in with chain link and rip a wheelie from one side to the other for 6 hours, I can get a ticket on my own property? Fuckers!

Edit to add: Just did some quick research, and it seems that if the parking lot is open to the public, and no parking fee is charged, you can be cited. If it's a private parking lot, that isn't, have at it willy nilly with some of this as you go past the fence :twofinger:twofinger

i've just pulled a few 1-2 footers on the street randomly when nobody is around, but have never really gone out just to practice. clutching the rr up isn't so bad and i really haven't gone high enough to feel like i'd loop it, but i randomly ran across that wheelie teach thing and was just wondering if anyone had learned on it. dont think i'd buy one as i don't think i can afford to spend 300 bucks on something like that.

as far as the motards go, if u want to let me have one to practice, i don't mind :teeth

Remember when all those skateparks starting opening up and people were going crazy? Why can't that happen for stunters?

A great example is the Air skate spot in the Great Mall. I don't know if it is still around but that place was HUGE and had a 30 foot drop into a pipe. That is some serious shit to see your 12 year old drop into!

Why can't this happen for stunters?

Yeah, and then what happened to "all those skateparks?"

wheelie....

if you cant wheelie a pedal bike... doing it on motorcycle is stupid..... pull out your bicycle, and go find the balance point... drag the rear brake.... cheap, "safe" and itl teach you ALOT... its the same feeling on the rear wheel of a bicycle and a moto...
