Street Triple R is so fun, so flickable, so loftable - the bike is pretty close to perfect for street use.

If you're more of a long-hauler and not fashion conscious, the FZ1 is a hell of a bike.

Street Triple R.

If you have the cash, Ducati Streetfighter.

Fuck that. If I have the cash, I'll still take the StripleR. Streetfighter just isn't that good of a bike or pretty enough to make up for it.

The only other bike in this category I'm eagerly anticipating right now if the MV Brutale 675.

Can I be....frank?
Don't forget...we motorcyclists are idiots. Usually the first thing people buy for a naked bike is a MF'ing windscreen. :laughing

I'm right there with you!

As a Bandit rider I'm obligated to suggest that for $3000 you could get an old air-cooled Bandit off of CL and then invest a few hundred in a stage 2 kit. It will not impress the ladies and no one will notice it at Starbucks. But it will get you there maybe just a fraction of a second slower than a Tuono but with money left over for a latte and maybe dinner out. And think of all the money you'll save on maintenance.

J-Boat

Read Only Lurker
Austrian Pig Iron for the win.....

Good timing though. I just sold my 08 FZ1 and picked up a pristine 07 KTM Superduke. I Haven't ridden it yet, but I have a feeling my face is going to hurt from the perma-grin...

Moto Guzzi Griso Special Edition. Not sure about it being "the best", but it makes my loins tingle.

After riding a couple of years now and being a bit older (49), I know what I like. I keep dreaming about what my next bike will be and I'm pretty sure it will be a naked one. A couple I've been thinking about are Kawasaki z1000, fast, fun and economicle and Aprilia Tuono, fast, exotic Italian more dinero. At my age I prefer the upright riding position of these bikes, it works best for me. I still love my Vesrsy, it's a keeper, no plans on selling her but I would like a faster all out hooligan bike for making trouble on the weekends.

Whats your take on this? What are your choices and why? I guess what I'm asking is whats the best naked bike out there.:cool

Depends on what Fast is...Fast and naked can be a conflict...

Upright is easy to come by... You know what I'm always preaching about.

It's Super Sweet to Marry Upright and Super Sport fairing to take the wind work off your body...and have the qualities of the Race Replica at work for Ya.
