What's on your Superbowl Menu?

I know that most folks are not having big parties for the big game, but you still have to eat. So, at my house, it will be just the Wife and I. She said that she wanted finger foods. I got those Aidel Meatballs from Costco. I also bought the Foster Farms (take out style) frozen Chicken Wings from Costco. They are awesome in the air fryer. I will make stuffed jalapenos.

What's on your menu?

My BIL is smoking a pork shoulder and I have two baby backs going on the Traeger right now. One is going to be a dry rub and the other is going to be wrapped.

Usually we do a bunch of finger foods for the game with friends. This year, it is just us so we decided to splurge and support a local restaurant.

Cajun spiced chicken.

My wife hates football so I'll be watching alone for the first time ever.

I'll watch the first half in the main room with my 5.1 setup and then banished to the secondary room for half number two with my 3.2 setup.

60 inch 1080p plasma in the main room and 720p plasma in the secondary room so not much suffering post banishment.

What happens at halftime? I mean, what is your wife going to watch in the main room that takes precedence? :laughing

And Geoff?!?! I'm not a TV snob, but 1080 and 720? Get with the times!

At around 6pm the wife enters the room and Football is not on the menu! :laughing

It's how we've stayed together since 1978. :afm199

I don't replace excellent TVs until they fail and even then when my 60" Plasma fails I may have it repaired as I'm not convinced I'll like the look of an OLED as much as I do the Plasma.

Most content out there is still 1080p that I'm interested in watching.

LEDs are just too garish for me and they have poor off angle viewing compared to Plasma and OLED.

The max size of an OLED I could get is 65" and as I watch at 14 feet distance I'm not sure I'd notice a huge "wow" with 4k vs 1080p though my friend in Miami who just made the switch says I would.

Crutchfield says that at my 14' sitting distance I should "ideally" have a 70" 1080p set or a larger than 85" 4k set to notice an "improvement" over 1080p! :wtf
