Cut bead with bolt cutters, sawsall in half, throw away or pay two bucks a pop to dispose of them.

Honestly, I just called my local tire shop and asked them if they would take them. Big O in Dublin let me toss about 6 tires in their recycling bin without charging.

These sound like perfect tires for a Dirtbag Challenge bike. They would get ridden once... then sacrificially turned into to smoke and flying bits of burning rubber.

What size(s) are they? Asking for a friend:teeth

Go here for pics and sizes Julian.

I think HadesOmega may win internet points on this one due to convenience. I'm going to Costco this morning so I'll see if they take them. After I text Julian to see if he wants them. For his friend.:laughing

Make a big pile and set them on fire :laughing

Or take then any place that installs tires. They'll dispose of them for a fee.

Any tire shop will take them. It'll cost you a few bucks per tire. Don't throw them in the trash. They end up in the landfill and will never break down.
Our trash service, Recology, will take 4 car tires per year if I call and let them know. I usually put out 6 and they still take them.

This...

I used to take them to Big O in Berkeley and flip them on to the pile the had out back.
Not sure if you can still do that in Berkeley, but as Dravnx says, Recology will take 4. I think you have to call them first.

Back when I had my TS250 Savage, I picked up a 400 18 used back tire from a guys 750 Honda.
Had about 700 miles left with the Honda, but it lasted me all summer hoonin' about with wheelies, burnouts, n' brodies.
Then back to knobbies for the winter.
