What sort of new scam is this?

Just checked my spam folder and there was an email from someone saying 'i hate you mbsv' with a string of insults about me and maybe my sister.

the to and from address are weird, and i don't even have a sister.

are the scammers trying to drag people into email fights somehow and doing something with it?
