What cable lube do you use?

I’ve used the basic cable life lube found at the local cycle gear...but it feels really watered down. Seems like it would dry out within the week. Has anyone tried the WD-40 Gel Lube? Anyways...let me know what lube you guys use!

DuPont Teflon dry slide. I also use it to lube up the internals of my switch gear and other bits and pieces that move against one another.

Modern Teflon lined cables don't require lube... the grease will mix
with dirt and create grit that will saw through the Teflon quicker
than if it were dry... to gain back the smooth operation plan on new
cables...

I use nothing at all as long as the cable moves freely inside. I would use Dupont Teflon if I didn't have smooth cable movement.

Yes and no on modern cables. They do get mung up in the sheath that eventually retards movement. I lube them sooner or later ( or flush them, really) with the lightest oil I can find, or triflow.
