Are we having fun yet?
Sharing to get inspirations on what to do - riding destinations, maintenance/repair, shopping/buying/selling activities, etc.
My SuperDuke sat in the garage thru-out November/December and the battery got too low to start when I got back from the holidays in January, so I finally started using a Battery Tender Plus to charge up my bike batteries. Prior to this I've always relied on riding each bike regularly, but it got harder as the number of bikes increased. I just added a battery tender cable to my GS, and will do that to my WR250F so all the bikes will have cables for the tender.
3 weeks ago I replaced a $0.99 o-ring for the gear position sensor housing in my KTM 950SM to stop a slow oil leak. It was satisfying to not have to put a piece of cardboard on the floor below to catch the leak.
2 weeks ago it was raining all weekend so I started with valve adjustment on my GS but didn't get far - couldn't pull out the ignition coil boot from the cylinder without a special tool. I'll get the $7 tool from SJ BMW this weekend and try again.
The current plan is to ride Hwy 1 south then go inland on Nacimiento-Fergusson on Saturday. If I'm free on Sunday I'll attempt the GS valve job again.
