Wanted to start a thread here in the Shooting Gallery for all us guys that are going to be messing with our ARs during SIP/Corona Virus shutdown.

So post your plans and pics if ya want. I am still working so I will try to post some later.

What the shit is this...
Finished my .300BO pistol, haven't taken it out yet. pic pending

Put some decent quality red dot sights on both the 5.56 carbines and sighted in again after a couple years in the safe.

Installed and zeroed a Bushnell 3-9x scope on the 6.5 Grendel, it was too windy for good groups but we had fun popping some Tannerite at 200 yards.

Put a JMT single stage trigger into one of the builds (and now I don't remember which one :facepalm) but I definitely liked it. http://jamesmadisontactical.com/saber-single-stage-drop-in-trigger/

Where is that if you dont mind me asking? Never shot on public land before. How does it work? You just roll up and start plinking? Do you also police your own brass?

For me in AZ, I have to be out of the town limits. Find something with a decent backstop and of course follow all gun safety rules, especially if you are shooting long rage. There is a spot about 10 miles from my house that is used by many of the local residents. Yes you should clean up after yourself, but unfortunately that's not always the case:(

It's northeast of Bend, Oregon.

All common sense long range rules apply. Find a quiet, safe spot and have at it. We verified there were no open roads or trails out in the valley, set up our table, hiked out to set up targets at several different distances, and cleaned up thoroughly after ourselves when finished. :)

There are some restricted areas, our local BLM office and county both provide maps like this (PDF): https://www.blm.gov/or/districts/prineville/recreation/files/redmond_shooting.pdf

Cleaned and lubed, verified function, loaded magazines. That is all. Nothing is different really.

In my mind, that is right off the hard granite railing of your living room balcony. :thumbup

:laughing Man, I wish. We're in a housing development, it's not the home I thought I wanted but it's damn near zero maintenance so I can (well, could) go play on the weekends instead of mowing the lawn. :)

More dry fire and built a 12.5" pistol I'm looking forward to shooting.

Don't think I've gone this long without live fire for 5+ years.

Got 90% of the pond clearing finished which leaves some time to do some shooting. Going to put the PA 1-6x scope on the 10.5 SBR and sight it in hopefully tomorrow.

Once I get the 10.5" upper sighted with the suppressor on it I am going to take the 16" upper I have apart and put a 300BO 8.5 barrel on it with a 10.5" handguard with a 1.5in ID so that my SiCo Saker will fit nice and snug in the handguard. Then I am going to shoot some subsonic shit. Between the sub 300BO rounds and my AR9 with 147gr subs I will ruin someone/things day totally quietly.

I have a ton of vacation hours at work and they won't alter policy to let us accrue over the cap so I am taking Mondays off for the next month or so and plan to get my rifles dialed in.

Question: is it normal for a mag to have a hard time properly seating with the bolt closed? Im trying to adjust the tension on the mag release but often times I have to give it an extra whack so that the mag will stick once I insert it into the well.

Down-load one or two rounds and see if the situation improves. Be safe, do not use live rounds.

Depends on the gun/configuration and mag.

I've got ARs that take 30 round Pmags, and ones that like 28/29.

There's no reason to not use live rounds, that's just silly.

Ok heres my rifle with a bunch of new goodies added:

Its Stag lower with Stag BCG. Rifle originally had a Stag upper with a quad picatinny rail, but it was too heavy for my liking. So I managed to snag a PSA 16" upper assembly for $300. I got it right on time as last I checked, most of their stuff is pretty much sold out now. BCM KAG hand guard, BCM gunfighter grip and BCM Ambi charging handle. Stock is from B5. Trigger group is from Larue, a MBT-2S. Optics is a PA Advanced micro dot with Magpul BUIS. Sling is from Blue Force Tactical. Debating if I should stick a light up front but that'll be somewhere down the line.

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but boy does it feel way way lighter than its previous configuration.

Nice AO. Those quad rails are heavy. I have almost all my rifles switched over to slim handguards or to non-quad rails for the ones I don't want slim ones on.

My AR is basically bone stock. Found this pic that's from like 2012 but I have had it over 20 years and registered it as a RAW in 99. The Glock 23 is on my CCW but I carry a M&P Shield now.

I just put in an order for all the parts to build my last SBR lower should get it early next week. Once I get that built I will take apart my 16" 5.56 upper and put a new 300BO 8.5" barrel on it with a 10" handguard that will allow my SiCo Saker to fit under it for a Honey Badger type build. I got some sweet looking translucent smoke-colored Lancer 30 rd 300BO mags for it so I can differentiate it from my 5.56 mags. I was going to do FDE but found out they make 300BO specific mags with better followers.

I also got some Keymod quick connect sling parts to use with my new Magpul MS3 multipoint sling. That new sling is way better than my older Mission Irene multi-point sling.

I also bought some more SiCo trifecta muzzle breaks in 7.62 so that I can put them on my 300BO and AR10.

I am horrible at pic posting in these threads but if I get to shoot in the next few days will take some glamour shots of the rifles and post them on here.
