Something else you should know...Chevron sold it's credit card business to GE Money Bank, aka THE DEVIL. Avoid at all costs. I know yours is a business card...just sayin'.

Yeah, its a business card but its my business, its not like Im using a company that I work for card :(

The prices here are within 2 cents and I pay monthly, ($1400.00 this month) so I stick with the Chevron card.

I thought Chevron was "The Devil"... Are there 2 devils?

Ouch! Am I hearing you say that you are paying $1400 a month for gas? Where do you drive?

Yes, as of prices right now, I will pay almost $17,000.00 this year alone in fuel costs.

I drive all day, 5 days a week selling Matco Tools.

get it while it's easy
Stopped at a gas station yesterday to fill up. They had a sign posted on the pump with the charge limits for all of the major credit cards. First time I've seen that. Guess it's starting to be more useful information than it was previously. Next thing you know we'll all have to get those signs for our cages 'driver carries no cash', or we'll be robbery targets when we pull in for gas.

Is that a diesel? If so, maybe you should check out the latest craze in biodiesels.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biodiesel

I have seen personally cylinder head problems in long term biodiesel usage and around here there are very limited places to even get it. There is no one for 30 miles from my house to get bio. Bentley bio fuels is the closest place to me, and they are no where near easy to get to.

We are a rural area with not many hookups to get that stuff, and I have heard that warr issues are on the fence if there is an internal failure due to any kind of fuel related problem. Im not going to chance it with this truck, too many variables right now for my liking, and not easy at all to get here.

You're wise to be careful with Biodiesel. Long term effects can be anywhere from negligible to detrimental. Even short term, it can be a pain in the ass to deal with.

Exactly, another thing is people think that you just stop and fill up with bio, when in reality the vehicle needs to be reworked a little with things like an external fuel heater setup and at least 2 extra fuel filter housings (not just inline with a couple clamps :) ) because bio is really dirty, and the newer smaller injectors have issues passing it unless its warm and clean.

Maybe we should start a motorcycle biodiesel thread. I keed...

Indeed biodiesel needs a warm climate (or a warmer), and the filters, but the warranty stuff is posted on the Wiki and if your engine/manufacturer does indeed warranty it, it is worth checking out. Plus it's at least 40% better environmentally emissions-wise.

I myself use a natural gas car--it costs me < $150 to fill up a month. ...and that's commuting from Hayward to San Jose 5 days a week. Actually cheaper than commuting on my bike. :ride

Yep. There's also a tremendous variance in biodiesel quality and blends, much more than regular diesel. Even good, high quality filters have problems with BD, so if you do it right, you're talking heaters, aux filters, and all in the appropriate materials.
