Welcome to a place to chat among yourselves on all thing AFM :thumbup

I have asked the Moderators to let Berto (holeshot) and Rick (machete) basically handle stuff here. If I ever have to jump in I will, but man you would really have to f*ck something up for that to happen.

I hope to continue to see banter in the racers corner as that attracts fans and is of course the right place to place race reports and awesome photo's etc.

Soon the bots will be crawling the Racers Corner and that will be giving more exposure to your race reports and such as it will be searchable by Google.

This forum will remain free from Webcrawlers so the info discussed here stays here unless your big muncher lets it out.

Hope you enjoy and make good use of your space. See you at the races. :thumbup

The idea when Bud created this forum was to have a place where AFM officials can communicate and be asked questions that will be visible to the entire board. While Bud was more than willing and in favor of a closed forum for AFM members only, I pushed against that believing that even outside views of the information presented and mulled over here would have value and answer perspective member questions.

This is a new forum and like all new forums, it'll need some tweaking to take shape. I think a good start is to use it as a mouth piece similar to the old AFM forums on the AFM site, for club related questions, announcements, etc. If we can get AFM'ers to check in here and potential AFM'ers for answers to their questions, this may cut down on emailing/ calling, etc. There's a HUGE knowledge base here of all things AFM and this forum should focus on that, IMO. Let's see how it works out and make adjustments accordingly.

The one stop shopping for forum traffic should help as well. We were getting about 1/1000the traffic of BARF on our own AFM forums. It didn't make sense to keep fighting that battle. We need to have a one stop shop for those on the web.

Uh, not sure if this was intended or understood, but anyone who has subscribed to the Racers Corner (daily email with all the new/updated threads) also gets all threads here in the AFM Forum.

Basically my point is that conversations here are a bit more out in the open then I assumed earlier. Something to keep in mind or change?
