Weird food reactions

My sister and I were just talking about this. We share a couple of weird food reactions.

Vinegar in anything (pickles, salad dressing, sauces) causes us to break out in a cold sweat, with chill bumps even. We both love it, though, and can eat pickles obsessively.

Nutri-sweet makes our mouths numb, almost as severely as lidocaine.

What about you?

Some spicy foods make the roof of my mouth itchy. I don't care though, I love kung pao chicken!

Reading posts about women obsessively eating pickles to the point of sweating, makes me rock hard.

Touching the skin of Mexican green mangoes causes me to break out in an extremely itchy rash all over. It's caused by an oil in the skin of the mango, which are in the same family as poison ivy strangely enough.

Avoid cashew nuts then.

I had someone tell me they were allergic to lettuce... (I was :wtf)

Iceberg lettuce makes me shit my guts out horribly. Or at least it used to. I haven't eaten it for probably 10 years now. Even the tiniest little rogue piece leaving it's evil lettuce juice on a sammich makes me scared of what may happen.

Why do you put hot sauce on your anus :confused

:laughing

I've never gotten the dreaded "fire anus" from eating hot stuff, but once my neighbor brought me a bag of assorted hot peppers from his garden including habaneros. I made a puree/paste of them and used them to coat some grilled chicken...so much that it was more of a crust than a coating.

I went to roll over in my sleep a few hours later, and awoke to some of the worst pain I've ever had. My whole torso was swollen and taut. It hurt to bend even a little. I wasn't having even the slightest bit of indigestion, but I was dreading what would come next. :laughing It took almost a day, but the swelling slowly subsided and things were otherwise uneventful. It was almost like an allergic reaction.
