trailer sounds cool but I want to ride there and ride home on my bike. i want to see what my bike will do in the 1/4 mile. these aren't professinal races.

ditto that sentiment. you must be "pro" the second you go on track and that includes dealing with whatever may happen. last time I thought I'd drive up, run, and drive home in my cage I ate an axle on the line. major CHA-CHING and huge setback. understood the risks but didn't think I would get nailed like that!

Well ok, but the races are strictly amatuer. I believe the only thing you need is registration/ drivers license and helmet to compete. I will have full leathers when I run, its the safest thing. I emailed sears point for specifics. more details to come.

I'm definately up to go and I would ride out there. I doubt my street riding is an less stressful on my bike than a quick quarter mile jaunt. You only need full leathers if you hittin 10's I believe. I doubt I'm going to be running 10's so I should be alright since I have no full leathers. Think they'd mind up I just pulled a standup all the way down the track?

email from searspoint raceway:

THE SAFETY FOR A BIKE IS PRETTY EASY YOU HAVE TO HAVE A LEATHER JACKET, GLOVES, LEATHER BOOTS OR HIGH TOP LEATHER TENNIS SHOE THAT COVER YOUR ANKLES, HELMET.

THANKS,

:laughing :laughing ... I guarantee you could do it ONCE... can't make any promises about the second time you try it. :D

I might actually be up for trying this sometime. Lemme work on my hole-shots at some traffic lights a few times so I don't loop it and I'll probably make it one of these Wednesdays :burnout

another email from searspoint raceway:

A cordura riding suit is also acceptable in lieu of the leather jacket.
A full face helmet is also required, Snell rating 85 or higher.
