Water Cooled Indian Challenger

Ny understanding is that this is based on an unreleased Victory engine, and with this and the FTR 1200, Indian is definitely offering some very nice powerplants for the more traditional US bike segment.

Looks like what harley threatened to do with the Vrod motor.
They made bagger noises with its future a long while back.

Rolls with it...
The fairing on that thing is... Ummm... visually challenging. :dunno

Will they have a model without it?

It's fat (848lbs), but it has some pretty nice standard equipment. Not bad for $22k base.

I’m a Harley lover but I would kill for HD to make something like this out of their new engine line... (the coming 975/1250 engines)

I'm genuinely stoked on this bike. I rode a Springfield recently, and it's the Road King of my dreams. Indian has upped the standard, and if people can manage to get over the brand loyalty hangups, there's no competition between the two.
I just wish they'd make an FXR/Dyna size/style bike. I imagine that liquid cooled twin in a shorter wheelbase mid size cruiser would be awesome. Think non drag race poser VRod.

I make words too.
The motor looks good on paper, and if it is like any of the other Indian's I have ridden this should be a decent machine.

I agree with Fish that this will indeed be a HD Loyalist jimmie rustler for sure.

That dyno chart looks a lot like the chart from a stock 22RE, what's in my truck... lots of torque, at least for a bike.

Really?
I’d go for this Challenger. 122 buff horses with 128 hoof-kicking torque and that sexy ass fairing, me likes!

If I was in the market for a big bagger, I'd be all over this Challenger. The styling, the tech, the company … Indian has a lot going for them as of now :cool:thumbup.
