Newbie but Goodie
It's been a while since I posted (last posted when I just bought a bike from a fellow BARFer)
But posting here is giving me some peace of what happend Firday (afternoon commute)
I was lane 'sharing' between 3 and 4 (hwy 880N) when I started to close the distance between me an a rider in front of me. (BAD MOVE)
For some reason, the thought of something bad happening did not even cross my mind (mistake #1)
His bike was a little wider than mine so he was sharing a bit more cautiously. He came to a sudden STOP, and to my reaction I hit the front brake - and not even hitting the back (mistake #2)
I laid it down and slid under a car! GOD has protected me!
I was able to pick up the bike and was able to push it off to the side. The other rider in front of me stayed with me for Moral support. Thanks Man. The car and its driver, took off.
No broken bones, no gashes, no blood. Just a bruised hip, shoulder, and ego.
question: continue to ride, or not?
to lose: wife, 3 kids
to gain: more confidence
comments, concerns, bashing all wecome.
